The beauty of trekking in Tuscany is that you always go through medieval villages, castles
perched on top of the hills and old farms that make a pretty nice hiking route also full
of architectural, artistic, cultural and historical interests. Siena is a good starting point to explore Tuscany.
The circular itinerary that departs from Montisi and touches Montelifré is one of the treks I recommend.
The Tuscan countryside is obviously full of wonderful views. After the trek between Montisi and Montelifré,
for example, you can opt for a swim in the natural thermal pools of Bagni San Filippo. They are not really close, but,
on the other hand, the hot water will regenerate you.
