The Italian Riviera, aka Liguria, in the north-west of Italy, is home to world famous attractions like the villages of Portofino and Cinque Terre.

Portovenere. The Italian Riviera may be visited from a boat or from a seaside path.

Palmaria. Just in front of Portovenere, this island offers beautiful views. It's a wild and quiet spot close to very touristy places.

Cinque Terre. From Portovenere, going west, there is a steep stretch of coast where five fishermen villages are perched on the sea.

Vernazza might be the most picturesque village of the Cinque Terre.

Riomaggiore. But this small town might have its say, of course.

Kayak Levanto — Kayak near Levanto. One of the best ways to explore the coast is by kayak. It allows discovering secluded bays...

Kayak Moneglia — ...and stopping for fantastic swims.

Framura. Another small town near Cinque Terre, with a unique natural port.

Kayak Recco — Kayak near Recco. Paddling towards Genoa, it is easy to spot beautiful villas.

Kayak night near Portofino. Besides exploring the Italian coast, a kayak is a very good way to avoid traffic jams when you go to a seaside restaurant.

Camogli. One of the most picturesque towns of Liguria

Sestri Levante. In all seasons, but especially at the end of clear winter days, sunsets are extraordinary.

Snow on the sea of Riva Trigoso. Cold winters may also bring some snow.

Regatta. Sailing is another great way to spend time along the Italian Riviera in all seasons.
