The spectacular French Riviera offers unforgettable views and a pleasant atmosphere. The interior is not less, with mountains, canyons and medieval villages perched on the hills.
To all this it joins the possibility of eating bouillabaisse (fish soup) and salade de Chèvre Chaude (Hot goat cheese salad), foods that for some strange reason I love. The wine is good, although, unfortunately, in France drink it often costs how much to eat.
A travel itinerary on the French Riviera can start from Nice , a city with a beautiful arch of beach and A lively historic center immediately behind the waterfront. Montecarlo is quite famous, not very economical. It is spectacular to take the Corniches : three panoramic streets, low, average and high, which run along the coast at different heights and from which sublime views are enjoyed. I recommend visiting Eze , a village perched in incredible sea position. But in fact, there is a wide choice. Continuing to the west, it is not that, for example, Antibes and St Tropez sucks, indeed. I prefer the first just because the latter is a bit too commercial and busy.
La Costa Azzurra è
An exceptional region to sail, is spoiled for choice. Another interesting activity is the trekking: for example on the red promontory of the Esterel or on the island of Porquerolles , where mountain bikers are also rented (sin there is a need to pedal uphill, torture that should be banned by the United Nations).
The travel itinerary can continue even more to the west, until you meet Cassis and the nearby headlands, in particular the Calanche, which offer wonderful views: clear sea, peaked cliffs, usual things, in short.
In the hinterland there are the gorges of the Verdon , perhaps the most beautiful Canyon in Europe, ideal for trekking and climbing or, simply, to travel the River between the gorges aboard canoes and pedal boats, easily rentable.
In short, avoiding the busiest places and possibly the high season, the French Riviera cannot please.
