What to see in a trip in Campania

Campania is one of the most populous regions of Italy and is very rich in interesting destinations for art and history enthusiasts, but also for tourists who simply want to see wonderful places.
Here are some destinations that We suggest:
- Scario and the Infreschi Coast, in Cilento .
- Bacoli and the submerged archaeological park of bay .
-
Procida, Amalfi, Salerno and Capo Palinuro (found described about halfway to the article linked) .
For the rest ... continue Read below :)
Let's start from Naples , where you can walk around the center before you visit the main monuments, including the medieval castle of the Maschio Angioino . In the immediate surroundings of Naples, there are some fundamental destinations for a travel itinerary in Campania: the ruins of Pompeii , the crater of the Vesuvius and, on the sea, Bacoli and Lake Fusaro, where the beauty of nature is accompanied by historic buildings and Roman remains.

Amalfi
Bagging on a boat you can go to Procida , and admire its colored houses on the sea. But the most famous bell islands are Capri and Ischia . Here too, the show is double, both historic and natural; In Capri there are the wonderful Faraglioni, in Ischia Terme and Castelli ... and hot water also flows from the bottom of the sea, for an alternative bathroom!
The destination of Campania plus assault by tourists is probably the Amalfi Coast , for its villages on the sea ( Amalfi, Positano, Ravello ) and for the path of the gods , which runs along the coast, in High, providing great views. Do not miss Villa Cimbrone E Villa Rufolo , perched along the Amalfi Coast .

For a less tourist travel itinerary you can opt for the Cilento , a national park that goes from the sea to the Apennines. It is also part of it Capo Palinuro , which has crystal clear waters and various caves including the note Azzurra Grotta . In the interior, instead, you need to see the caves of Pertosa-Auletta , which allow you to go along an underground river between stalactites and stalagmites. In the Cilento area there are also the two beautiful villages on the sea of Castellabate and Agropoli .
Other destinations that apply a trip to Campania are the grandiose reggia of Caserta and the Greek temples of Paestum , still well preserved after more than 2000 years.
as throughout Italy, interesting historical centers abound: I recommend lost for the alleys of Salerno and to admire the castle.

What to do in a trip in Campania

As written in the paragraph on the "What to see", the first thing to do in Campania is to visit all the wonderful places, some of the which are also paradises for trekking and sea activities.
Cilento, for example, is rich in interesting hiking itineraries , especially when it is not too hot. Even the path of the gods offers incredible views of trekking enthusiasts.
To reach the islands there are numerous boats, even if a ride in sailboat is perhaps the most fascinating option (a Telt, find Here a description of some wonders of the Tirreno including Procida, Amalfi, Salerno and Capo Palinuro ).
The Canoe and the stand up paddle are the perfect means for exploring the beautiful cliffs of the Cilento and the Amalfi Coast.

In Campania you can dedicate part of the holiday to ... Food and wine itineraries! La Neapolitan pizza and the buffalo mozzarella are the great classics of the region, but there are also many delicious first courses. The sea sauces go the major, and the alleys drunk is perhaps the most tasty seasoning you can find in a trip to Campania! For second, on the sea, you can take a nice fish to the crazy water , while in the inside of the meat with the Friarelli , and sweet la Pastiera (they are just examples: you spoil your choice!).

How to travel in Campania

When to go and move to Campania? The answer to these questions is linked to what you want to do and see. Naples is obviously well connected with all Italy, both with trains and with planes. From Naples you can take the boats for Procida, Ischia and the most distant Capri.
Even Salerno is well connected by the railway, and from here you can take buses or ferries to the nearby Amalfi Coast, from which you can also reach Capri .
Although the main towns like Agropoli and Castellabate are connected by the train, to move between the beauties of Cilento, the car is useful. (To rent a car here at the best prices for your travel itinerary Advice from Search and book this link ).

Summer is the best time to enjoy the sea of the region, but the good climate Campano allows you to avoid the very high season (from mid-July to late August ) And to travel in quieter periods. Above all the Amalfi Coast can be very busy! Trekking, food and wine and cities of art are fascinating in all seasons!
