Framura, Bonassola and Levanto are three splendid villages of the Ligurian Riviera di Levante, each with its (fantastic) peculiarities. For several years, a cyclopedal track obtained from the old railway connects these three countries offering beautiful sea views and the possibility of diving where the water is clearer. Alternatively, you can also walk between Framura and Levanto via Bonassola using the panoramic trails described on this page , who pass higher than the sea.
Levanto is the largest village of the three and the one with more structures: it can be conveniently reached by train and is a step away from the Cinque Terre (the next station is in fact Monterosso). Levanto today also recalls many surfers, in addition to the customers of the many bathing establishments. The cyclopedon part, as a continuation of the sea walk, in the western part of the country. Crossed the first short gallery, immediately one of the beaches between the most beautiful rocks of this stretch of coast.
Large part of the route takes place inside the galleries: the panoramic views are spectacular, but few. Don't expect, in short, to always have the sea view. In summer, however, you will certainly appreciate the fresh temperature of the stretches indoors of the cyclopedonal!
In the photos on this page they are depicted, in order, the main views of the sea that have from the galleries between Levanto and Framura. Some of these beautiful views are little more than windows.
Other spaces between the galleries are wider and allow you to go down to the rocks and take a bath where the water is generally very clear. In the photo below, in particular, there is the last stretch to light before the last relatively long gallery that leads to Bonassola.
Here you have the chance to go down on the rocks for a splendid swim. We had already traveled this section in Canoe and so we knew that, from here, you can swim up to a spectacular marine cave, in which you enter for a tight one Pertious and then find yourself in an underground cave ... Stuff that Indiana Jones If I dream of it.
After refreshed, you can resume the cyclopedonal and, with the last gallery, reach the beautiful Bonassola. To travel the route on foot Levanto Bonassola something more than half hour is required, and another 40 minutes will serve to get to Framura: it can therefore be a good idea to bring or rent a bicycle to walk the 5-6 km of the entire cyclopedonal .
Bonassola is a hamlet on the sea with a fantastic beach and a very characteristic historic center; In addition to the cyclopedonal, it can be reached with a winding road by car or more comfortably by train.
You can cross the village walking on the road on the sea, but it is also nice to go down between the picturesque Ligurian houses. Enjoy the sand of Bonassola, because in Ponente the cyclopedonal goes into another gallery in the direction of Framura, and of sand there will be no more for a few kilometers :)
There is no sand here, but the splendid views continue. Unfortunately, unless you venture into dangerous disrunk on walls and rocks, the chances of descending to the sea are scarce; be satisfied with some other beautiful views for about a couple of kilometers: it's worse, in life!
One of the most fascinating sea access is unfortunately closed by a gate with a severely written 'private property' over a gate; However, shortly after the Pidocchio Porto has a small bay between red rocks, to which you can go down with a very brief ladder.
Once, the Bay of Porto Pidocchio was a spacious beach, created with stones and retrievent sand during the excavations of the old railway. Until 2015, the beach was still quite wide, but the sea in recent years has fully eaten it: it still remains a great place for a swim.
Resumes to walk along the cyclpedonale and, forwarded to the gallery, you reach A spectacular panoramic balcony.
The last meters of gallery lead to facing the beautiful small marina of Framura, to whom you can go down to take a bath between the rocks, or, alternatively, to continue up to the nearby station. To reach a beach, instead, you can go under the station, in Torsei, or continue from here along the new, wonderful catwalk on the sea that leads to the beaches of the Vallà Arena.
as well as for the clear sea, Framura It stands out for the fact that its tiny but beautiful historical borghetti are perched higher: to reach it you need to walk uphill or take the bus.
The cyclopedonal from Levanto then ends in Framura. If you are interested in a Panoramic trail, it is undoubtedly more spectacular that described at this page , which goes up and in nature before going down to Bonassola, and offering incredible views ( With a little more effort than the cycle path). If instead you want to see some nice views of the sea, walk (or ride) to cool and take a few bathrooms, the cyclopedonal itinerary from Levanto to Framura does just for you! And, indeed, the best thing is to live both experiences.
